The Development Situation, Future and Counter Measures of Remanufacturing Industry in China

Wen-qiang Liu,Jun-yuan Mo,Cheng-kui Gu

Frontiers of Engineering Management 2016, Volume 3, Issue 2,   Pages 123-131 doi: 10.15302/J-FEM-2016021

Abstract: Currently, resource supply and demand contradiction, and over-loaded environment capacity have become a bottleneck for sustainable economic development in China. Electro-mechanical products are approaching a peak of obsolescence, and massive abandoned electro-mechanical products are causing severe environmental pollution, huge waste of resources and potential safety hazard. Remanufacturing is repairing or modifying worn mechanical products using high-tech method, which buffers the contradiction between wasting and shortage of resources, and brings industry towards a comprehensive utilization of resource and environmental protection. As a new strategic industry, remanufacturing, which is highly coherent with the development strategy of the circular economy, is still in its infancy in China. This paper analyzes the developmental trends and problems of the remanufacturing industry in China, and proposes promoting measures based on the engineering practices of remanufacturing.

Ayoub SADEGHI, Nabiollah SHIRI, Mahmood RAFIEE, Mahsa TAHGHIGH

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2022, Volume 23, Issue 6,   Pages 950-965 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2100432

Abstract:

We present a new -based Wallace-tree (CBW) 8×8 . The ‍’‍s s are implemented with a new hybrid (FA) cell, which is based on the (TG) technique. The proposed FA, TG-based AND gate, and hybrid half adder (HA) generate :3 (4≤≤7) digital s with the ability to save at least 50% area occupation. Simulations by 90 nm technology prove the superiority of the proposed FA and digital s under different conditions over the state-of-the-art designs. By using the proposed cells, the CBW exhibits high driving capability, low power consumption, and high speed. The CBW has a 0.0147 mm die area in a pad. The post-layout extraction proves the accuracy of experimental implementation. An mechanism is proposed, in which a direct interface between MATLAB and HSPICE is used to evaluate the presented CBW in image processing applications. The peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and structural similarity index metric (SSIM) are calculated as image quality parameters, and the results confirm that the presented CBW can be used as an alternative to designs in the literature.

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2023, Volume 24, Issue 3,   Pages 457-469 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2200361

Abstract:

cellular automata (QCA)%29&ck%5B%5D=abstract&ck%5B%5D=keyword'> is a new nanotechnology for the implementation of nano-sized digital circuits. This nanotechnology is remarkable in terms of speed, area, and power consumption compared to complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) technology and can significantly improve the design of various logic circuits. We propose a new method for implementing a in QCA technology in this paper. The proposed method uses the intrinsic features of QCA in timing and clock phases, and therefore, the proposed cell structure is less occupied and less power-consuming than existing implementation methods. In the proposed , compared to previous best designs, reductions of 6.45% in area occupation and 44.49% in power consumption were achieved. In addition, for the first time, a reset-based and a with set and reset capabilities are designed. Using the proposed , a new 3-bit is developed which reduces 2.14% cell numbers compared to the best of previous designs. Moreover, based on the 3-bit , a 4-bit is designed, which reduces 0.51% cell numbers and 4.16% cross-section area compared to previous designs. In addition, two selective s are introduced to count from 0 to 5 and from 2 to 5. Simulations were performed using and tools in coherence vector engine mode. The proposed circuits are compared with related designs in terms of delay, cell numbers, area, and leakage power.

Facing Challenges and Searching Chances at the Same Time——The Present Status of Chinese Flower Enterprise

Chen Junyu

Strategic Study of CAE 2002, Volume 4, Issue 10,   Pages 17-20

Abstract:

This report points out that the flower enterprise is a promising enterprise, growing up continuously and becoming better and better. The author then compares and analyses differences and commonalities between the Chinese flower enterprise and the world flower enterprise. Using ’99 Kunming International Horticultural Exposition as an example, the author is convinced that Chinese gardens and flowers may reach the first level in the world, but “Chinese Characteristics” ought to be strengthened significantly. At the beginning of China’s becoming a member of WTO, a very good way has been found for facing challenges and utilizing good chances——the so-called “Hua-Hui Xin Si Hua”,viz,①traditional Chinese famous flowers internationalized;②world famous flowers becoming“sinicized” and localized;③ wild flowers introduced and acclimatized;④flower production and management highly specialized and in large-scale. It is possible to reach the present level of flower development in the world in 50 years or more. Then,China will be turned from the “Mother of Gardens” to the “Kingdom of World Flowers”.

Development of electrorheological chip and conducting polymer-based sensor

Xianzhou ZHANG, Weihua LI, Weijia WEN, Yanzhe WU, Gordon WALLACE,

Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering 2009, Volume 4, Issue 4,   Pages 393-396 doi: 10.1007/s11465-009-0043-8

Abstract: This paper presents the development of an integrated sensor using two types of smart materials: electrorheological (ER) fluids and conducting polymers (CPs). The developed ER chip worked as an actuator, and it was driven by different voltages and control frequencies. When the four electrodes are controlled synchronously, the diaphragm acts as a vibrator whose frequency can be adjusted in accordance with the frequency of the electrical signals. The response signals of the CP sensor were recorded, and its properties were analyzed. Experimental results show that the amplitude decreases monotonically when the frequency increases, owing to the time delay in the pressure buildup in the ER chip. However, the displacement fluctuation of the diaphragm below 20Hz can be detected clearly even if the value is very low. When the vibration frequency is larger than 20Hz, the CP sensor can hardly detect the displacement fluctuation. Thus, the upper limit frequency that the CP sensor can detect is about 20Hz. The practical applications of this microdevice are also discussed.

A novel algorithm to counter cross-eye jamming based on a multi-target model Research Articles

Zhi-yong SONG, Xing-lin SHEN, Qiang FU

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2019, Volume 20, Issue 7,   Pages 988-1001 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1800394

Abstract:

Cross-eye jamming is an electronic attack technique that induces an angular error in the monopulse radar by artificially creating a false target and deceiving the radar into detecting and tracking it. Presently, there is no effective anti-jamming method to counteract cross-eye jamming. In our study, through detailed analysis of the jamming mechanism, a multi-target model for a cross-eye jamming scenario is established within a random finite set framework. A novel anti-jamming method based on multitarget tracking using probability hypothesis density filters is subsequently developed by combining the characteristic differences between target and jamming with the releasing process of jamming. The characteristic differences between target and jamming and the releasing process of jamming are used to optimize particle partitioning. Particle identity labels that represent the properties of target and jamming are introduced into the detection and tracking processes. The release of cross-eye jamming is detected by estimating the number of targets in the beam, and the distinction between true targets and false jamming is realized through correlation and transmission between labels and estimated states. Thus, accurate tracking of the true targets is achieved under severe jamming conditions. Simulation results showed that the proposed method achieves a minimum delay in detection of cross-eye jamming and an accurate estimation of the target state.
